Albion - Zoa Rain Shell

We tested the Zoa Rain Shell on a ride up Cairn O’ Mount.

The Zoa Rain Shell from English cycling brand Albion Cycling, is a high-performance, versatile waterproof shell jacket for on and off-bike use made using 100% recycled Pertex® Shield Air, a revolutionary new, highly breathable, 3-layer waterproof fabric created specifically for intense outdoor activities. Utilising an air-permeable nanofibre membrane to provide breathable and durable waterproof protection, the Zoa Rain Shell has features for all outdoor use.

We took the lightweight shell for a ride up Cairn O’ Mount, a high mountain pass in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, which features in the Tour of Britain cycling race. Unfortunately, dark clouds soon emerged, and the rain thumped down, which tested the jacket against the elements. But the Pertex® Shield Air membrane stood up to the test, and the Zoa Rain Shell won the battle against the elements.

Other features include a helmet-compatible, fully adjustable drawcord hood that allows easy movement whilst riding and two-way waterproof zipped pockets with mesh pocket liners for handy storage or a different venting system. The jacket is topped off with reflective detailing on the forearms and rear for enhanced visibility.

The Zoa Rain Shell is available to buy now from Albion Cycling. To follow the Albion story, you can visit them on Instagram.
